Application of JJ Collins for Permanent Letters Administration on the estate of Quin K. Collins, decd.  Ordered citation issue and be published.  January 6, 1902



Application of Mary C. Rider for Year’s Support for herself and two minor children from the estate of Mose Rider, deceased. - Ordered granted as returned by the commissioners and admitted to record - January 6, 1902


Application of James L. Elliott, administrator upon the estate of Mary Rhoads, decd, for letters of dismission.  Ordered that citation issue and be published for three months as the law directs.  January 6, 1902

Application of Jack Lance, Executor of Dan Loudermilk for Letters of Dismission - Ordered that citation issue and be published.  January 6, 1902


Petition of WH England, guardian of minor heirs of Thomas England, deceased for leave to encroach upon the principal sum now in his hands belonging to said heirs for their maintenance and education as the profits on the principal sum i his hands is entirely insufficient.  Upon hearing the petition and it appearing to the court that the profits on the principal now in guardian’s hands is insufficient for the maintenance and education of said minors, it is ordered by the court that WH England, as aforesaid, be and he is hereby allowed to use the principal sum now in his hand to the amount of five dollars per month for each ward until the same is exhausted.  This January 2, 1902

Received of John T. Colwell, Ordinary for said county, forty dollars in full payment for right of way for public road through my land known as the HH Ross place where road now runs.  WJ Ross


Ordered that JJ Collins be appointed Permanent Administrator on the estate of Quin K. Collins, deceased, he giving bond in the amount of $1600 and taking prescribed oath.  February 3, 1902

It is further ordered that WJ Miller, WJ Swain, EC Harrel? Hood and (blank) be appointed to appraise estate of Quin K. Colins, deceased.  February 3, 1902

Application of Kannie Houston for Year’s Support for herself and 5 minor children from the estate of JH Houston, deceased.  Ordered that Andrew Payne, Bud Mahaffey, _____ Payne, James Parris, Jr. and James Parris, Sr. be appointed appraisers to set up a year’s support to the widow and children and make return within 30 days.  This February 3, 1902


Application of Martha A. Harrison for year’s support from the estate of Dock Harrison, deceased.  Ordered that Robert Henderson, Joe Young, William Henderson, GW McClure and Thomas Henderson be appointed appraisers to set up Year’s Support for said Martha Harrison and her five minor children.  February 24, 1902  John T.  John Brown vs William Holloway - Contested as to who shall pay costs in the case of obstructing private way of Holloway, who removed the obstructions before he was served by the sheriff.  Ordered that William Holloway pay the sum of $7.55, cost of this case to present time. August 4, 1902  Appealed by John Brown to the Superior Court - ordered that the papers be transferred as the law directs.

Union Court of Ordinary - October Term 1902
Letters of Guardianship granted to John O. Rider of the person and property of Charley and Dora Rider, minors of Mose Rider, deceased.

Granted John O. Rider encroachment upon the corpus of the estate of above minors for the necessary expenses of said minors.  As the corpus does not exceed the amount of fifty dollars each and the interest upon said sum will not defray necessary expenses.  Ordered that he be allowed to apply at least twenty dollars each of the original sum belonging to said minors for their benefit and maintenance and more along and along, discreetly used as the law may direct.  October 6, 1902
